Crooks Corner via Pafuri Picnic Spot

Thursday 3rd September.

Another drive north today.

A spot of bird watching at Pafuri picnic spot with Frank the resident Guru and then the short trip to Crooks Corner.

20 k’s north of Punda on the H1-8……between the two powerlines a little treasure crossed our path.

A Tsessebe and calf.

Morning snack at Pafuri finished we wandered through the picnic area gazing into the trees looking for the feathered wildlife.

Harder to take a pic of a bird than one of a fidgeting child.

The vervets were having a great time while Frank was pointing out birds.

Raiding picnic tables and stealing whatever they could pick up, including a tub of butter and fruit.

Trunk of Baobab tree.

This enormous tree is 80% water

  1. What you don't find in a tree!

The Baobab has more water in it that we do! It has these far spreading roots.

Thank you Lorraine for your up dates!!
