Sunday 6th September
Another day another move
Before starting the report for last Sunday I have breaking news….
Katie (McFluffy) has a broken foot.
Not too sure how serious until Scipio and Scorpion bring her back to camp.
Will not go into details until a later date :((
6am and the two oldies take a short drive north.
We are rewarded with a giant eagle owl and brown headed parrots, african green pigeon, lion, ellies, nyala and kudu for starters.
We are back in camp and ready to leave at 9.30.
We revisited the hyaena den to say goodbye to the young ones
All the usual suspects appear and
suddenly from the back we have a screech from Katie….SABLE.
He was magnificent, but elusive and managed to keep behind the bushes, denying us a clear shot of him.
This little family was in the camp
An afternoon drive from Mopani produced tsessebe, zebra, kudu, ellies, steenbok and more tsessebe.
A quick drive through camp and we found a fellow forumite Aboon & SO.
Many thanks Agnes and Eric for inviting us to dinner.
Beautiful bird pics Lorraine and the sable is grand!!
