A Big 5 day with extras

Friday 28th August.

Before I start today I would like to thank Micetta, Sue, Danielle and Jill for their comments.

Today will be a special day for us.

Raymond Khosa the guide from Berg en Dal is taking us into his community.

I will do a special report on this trip in a few days.

To reach this outside community we drove from Berg en Dal to Paul Kruger Gate and recorded great sightings on the way.

Our return trip in the afternoon was also top for finds.

We did see the big five but I am posting photos of animals other than them.

We were alerted to the leopard sighting by Martie Goddard who is spending a year in the KNP.

The Wild Dog sighting was more than we could have asked for.

It has taken 8 trips to KNP for us to see these elusive predators.

It is all a matter of timing.

Gate closing was looming and we lingered as long as we possibly could.

We were late back to camp, but we did have our SanParks guide with us, and we would have broken the enforced speed limits to arrive on time
